Kingfisher Pair Intensifies Nest Digging with Collaborative Efforts!
８日から始まったと思われるカワセミたちの巣穴作りが本格化したようです。
いつどのタイミングで撮影しても、オスもメスも嘴の大部分に土を付けています。交代で作業に勤しんでいるものと考えられます。
以前とは違って、どうやら樹木の葉で覆われ対岸からは見えない崖に巣を作っているようです。
公園の改修工事開始以前は、対岸から観察することができたのですが…。残念です。
The kingfishers have been digging their nest more vigorously since they started on the 8th.
The camera often catches both the male and female kingfishers with soil covering most of their bills, showing that they share the work of digging.
They seem to have chosen a cliff hidden by foliage for their nest site this time, unlike before when we could see them from across the river.
I miss being able to watch them from across the river as we did before they renovated the park.

あとがき｜Wrap-Up
数日間連続して観察して分かったのですが、好んで止まる枝が何ヶ所かにあり、前日とほとんど同じ写真が撮れることも珍しくありません。
細枝や葉の被り方が見分けがつかないほど同じなので、どうやらどの枝であれほとんど同じ場所に止まっているようです。
レンズを通してみると、強い既視感を覚えてしまいます。
今日はそのような写真がたくさん撮れたので、そのほとんどはアップしませんでした。
I have observed for several days in a row and found that there are some branches that the kingfishers prefer to perch on, and it is not uncommon to take almost the same pictures as the previous day.
The way the twigs and leaves cover them is so similar that they seem to perch in almost the same place on any branch.
When I look through the lens, I feel a strong sense of déjà vu.
Today I took a lot of such pictures, so I didn’t upload most of them.
