今季はこのオスのジョウビタキが時々とても近くで撮影させてくれます。
概してジョウビタキは人間に対してあまり警戒心が強くないので比較的近い距離で観察する機会を得やすいです。
そういうジョウビタキの中に、毎年のように、とてもフレンドリーな個体がいて驚くほど近くで観察や撮影をさせてくれることがあります。
今季はこのジョウビタキ君に我々バーダーはとても感謝しています。
This season, this male Daurian redstart sometimes let me take pictures very close.
Generally, Daurian Redstarts are not very wary of humans, so we have more opportunities to observe them at relatively close distances.
Among such Daurian redstarts, there are some very friendly individuals every year that let us observe and photograph them at surprisingly close distances.
We birders are very grateful to this Daurian Redstart this season.

陽光桜が咲き始めました。
“Yoko-zakura” (sunlight cherry blossoms) have started to bloom.
“Yoko” cherry is a type of cherry tree that was created by crossing Amagi Yoshino and Kanhi Sakura. It blooms earlier than Somei Yoshino, usually in March. The flowers are pale pink and have a graceful appearance. The name “yoko” means “sunlight” in Japanese.

ジョウビタキは冬鳥ですからもうすぐ旅立ちます。
これだけフレンドリーな鳥さんが数週間のうちに居なくなるのかと思うと寂しくなります。
旅立つまではできるだけ会いたいものです。
Daurian Redstarts are winter birds, so they will soon be leaving on their journey.
It’s sad to think that such friendly birds will be gone in just a few weeks.
I want to see them as much as possible before they leave.
