In Search of the Black Paradise Flycatcher’s Call: Walking Through the Park with No Luck

昨年は鳴き声を初めて聞いてから２～３日後の５月10日にサンコウチョウの初撮りに成功しています。

例年だと、ゴールデンウィークが終わった頃にサンコウチョウの鳴き声が聞かれるようになります。

しかし、今年はまだ一度も聞いていませんし、聞いたという情報もありません。

いつもの年のように来てくれるのでしょうか…。

Last year, I was able to take my first picture of a Black Paradise Flycatcher on May 10th, 2-3 days after hearing its call for the first time.

Usually, you start hearing the Black Paradise Flycatcher’s call around the end of Golden Week.

However, I haven’t heard it at all this year, and there has been no news of anyone else hearing it either.

I wonder if it will come like it usually does…

私はバードウォッチングを始めて8年目になりますが、今までサンコウチョウが公園に来なかった年はありません。

なので、当然今年も来てくれると思ってはいますが、実際に鳴き声を聞くまでは安心できません。

待ち遠しいです。

I’ve been birdwatching for eight years now, and there hasn’t been a year when the Black Paradise Flycatcher didn’t come to the park.

So, of course, I think it will come this year too, but I can’t relax until I actually hear its call.

I’m really looking forward to its arrival.
